It will comprehensively analyze and outline the current state of the art regarding the participation of women in the ICT field either as employees or entrepreneurs to identify gaps, needs, strengths and weaknesses of the current employment and entrepreneurship ecosystem. It will also include analysis of the theoretical foundations of Gender Equality for the Workplace training practices, national case studies, typologies of different models, evidence-based research on their respective advantages and disadvantages, presentation of applied best practices with examples of existing programs, and considerations of contextual factors.

The training program and support package for Gender Equality will be provided as OER into the project’s platform and it will include:

– A gender equality Training programme, addressed to employers (i.e. enterprises, businesses, etc.) in the ICT sector; business support organisations in the ICT field; local governments (i.e. municipalities, prefectures, etc.).

– Toolkit for designing mother & career-friendly workplaces in the ICT sector.

The main aim is to allow the ICT business and entrepreneurial ecosystems to self-assess their own offer to attract more women to ICT and to serve their existing female clients in a more customised way.

The main aim is to allow the ICT business and entrepreneurial ecosystems to self-assess their own offer to attract more women to ICT and to serve their existing female clients in a more customised way.

The aim of this result is to provide direct support and motivation to women to pursue a career in the ICT economy either as employee or an entrepreneur. In more detail, this result provided as OER on the project’s platform includes a collection of female role models providing encouragement, inspiration, and motivation to other women in the ICT sector. Role models are promoted through short videos and through short presentations showcasing the success stories of women in the ICT sector.

This result includes a set of policy recommendations based on the FEMIN-ICT experiences, achievements as well as on the discussions that will be held during the final conference of the project. It will provide analysis and concrete directions for engendering current corporate and governmental practices for the equal participation and promotion of women in the ICT sector. The recommendations will aim at helping policy makers to adapt/improve their policies and actions in view of supporting more women in the specific sector.

The FEMIN-ICT policy roadmap will serve as a major exploitation tool for multiplying the project results and policy messages. It bears a strong European added value as this Result as well as the overall FEMIN-ICT project is perfectly aligned with the key preoccupations of the Digital Agenda for Europe: getting more women into ICT.
